Clutter

Bloganuary writing prompt
Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

As an avid reader, I tend to collect books of all subjects. I have clinical manuals for neuropsychiatry, behavioral neurology and various groupings of studies. There are books about parenting and education, and then some holistic and homesteading books thrown in too. While I keep many of them for reference, there are a large amount of books that touched me, and I just can’t get rid of. Memoirs that awakened me at an early age like Rosie O’donnel’s Find Me. My first exposure to poetry in the form of Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Many more like this that spoke to me deeply and carried me through my teenage years and then others still that welcomed me into adulthood and parenthood. I tend to hold onto sentimental things, so books will always be at the top of the list of clutter for me. I will start passing them on in hopes that others will appreciate them the way I have.
